candidate for mayor

I am a 23 year resident of Bensalem, a wife, a mother of two children (at BHS and in college), CLC Sunday School Teacher, and a PA Attorney for 25+ years, with my own small firm in town. As Mayor, I will bring the same tireless dedication to that office as I have to our School Board. When parents need someone who will listen and advocate for an issue, they find me. I will bring energy to redevelop, not overdevelop, to pursue more social spaces, not be overrun with vape shops and trash trucks.

Bensalem needs a woman's touch, and the time is now!

If we don’t take steps now to create a vibrant small business community,  family friendly and rooted in assuring a safe, small-town feel, then we will be overrun by opportunistic development, discarded buildings, and vape shops.

We need a Mayor who has the energy and determination to move Bensalem forward while protecting our small town feel. I would prioritize the following:

  • strictly enforce our zoning laws to help curb residential overdevelopment and stop giving variances to big developers or agreeing to them in court;

  • focus on commercial redevelopment, such as Neshaminy Mall and other abandoned buildings, and create a friendlier atmosphere for small businesses;

  • partner to establish social opportunities for young adults, teens and families

    (a community indoor pool and gym complex, a dog park, etc.);

  • address our infrastructure issues, such as the flooding on Mill Road, including advocating with Harrisburg for state roads;

  • control speeding and other issues in our neighborhoods to make them safe for our kids to play outside;

  • solve the multiple trash trucks problem; and

  • pursue the changes needed to impose term limits for mayor and council.

The Republican Executive Committee is trying to scare the community saying that I will bring Philadelphia crime and politics to Bensalem - that I will create a “Sanctuary City”, push for cashless bail, and create high-density low-income housing. None of this is true!  I have no intention of trying to create a Sanctuary City nor to try to interfere with our Judges to encourage cashless bail. While I do not advocate rounding up peaceful hardworking people, I have no tolerance for crime. I would load the men in the Epstein files onto planes and deport them somewhere if it were legal! And I am the last person interested in high-density housing - whether luxury or low-income! I am an advocate for keeping our remaining open spaces! And if there must be additional housing then it should be on already developed vacant areas and should be affordable starter single homes. I want Bensalem to be a place where our children can settle down and raise their families here. That means a Bensalem which is safe, affordable and full of natural beauty.
